Summary

A historic festival that began in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1952. It is held more than 10 times a year, not just in summer, and has become a famous attraction of Atami. The venue, Atami Bay, is a bowl-shaped terrain surrounded by mountains on three sides, causing the sound of fireworks launched from the sea to reverberate, creating an acoustic effect like a large stadium. Furthermore, the reflection of the fireworks on the water's surface is beautiful, creating a magical scene. Visitors can relax and watch from nearby accommodations or the sandy beach.
