Summary

The 'Kō Summer Festival' held at Ōyashiro Shrine in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture is a traditional event featuring floats and kabuki processions from each of the four local neighborhoods. On the second day, Saturday, August 8, tezutsu fireworks dedication (approx. 100 cylinders, 3–5 kin each), ran-dama (4 platforms), and ōzutsu (4 platforms) dedication are held within the shrine grounds. On the third day, Sunday the 9th, aerial fireworks and river fireworks are held around the Otowa River. Above all, the tezutsu fireworks on the second day are overwhelmingly powerful.
