Summary
A fireworks festival held in the Asahi area of Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. Set in a quiet mountain village surrounded by hills, the fireworks are launched at low altitude, allowing you to experience their tremendous power up close. Before the fireworks, the traditional Shinto ritual "Odo Tenno Festival" begins at 5:30 PM, featuring taiko drum processions and torch parades. Amid the lively sounds of flutes and drums, the sight of loincloth-clad participants dashing through the town holding approximately 2-meter torches is truly spectacular. The event goes on in light rain but will be canceled in severe weather.
