Summary

A one-of-a-kind fireworks festival dedicated to Jingu Shrine, started in 1953 to commemorate the 59th Shikinen Sengu (ceremonial relocation of the shrine). It is one of the few competitive fireworks festivals in Japan and is regarded as one of Japan's three major competitive fireworks festivals. Consisting of two categories — the Launch Fireworks Division and the Star Mine Division — high-level fireworks by pyrotechnicians from across the country are displayed.
