The annual 'Shimagahara Summer Festival' is held in Iga City, Mie Prefecture, around Shimagahara Onsen Yabuccha. Starting at 3 PM, visitors can enjoy regionally colorful stage events and food stalls until the fireworks launch at 8 PM. On stage, a variety of performances are presented one after another, including children's dances, country dancing, comedy shows, and Japanese taiko drumming. The food booths offer a wide range of menus from classic fried chicken and takoyaki to zaru soba and summer vegetable curry, perfect for eating while walking. The finale features approximately 200 shells of fireworks coloring the night sky.
