Summary

A fireworks event held near the Yura River riverbed and Otonase Bridge in Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture. Starting at 20:00, approx. 6000 shells are launched one after another into the night sky over 45 minutes. The greatest attraction is the beautiful interplay of fireworks launched against the backdrop of Fukuchiyama Castle, a famous castle from the Warring States period, and the overwhelming intensity felt from the close-up viewing area. Since the fireworks are launched from the opposite bank of the Yura River, the distance to the viewing area is very close, allowing you to experience the sound and light with your whole body. The festival theme is 'JOY HERE – Now, once again. Beneath this sky.' All paid seating is reserved, and only ticket holders may enter. About 50 food stalls are set up around Goryo Park and Jokamachi-dori Street, offering festival gourmet food.
