The 49th Kasumi Furusato Matsuri Kaijo Hanabi Taikai is held offshore of Kasumihama (Shiokaze Kaen), Kami Town, Mikata District, Hyogo Prefecture, on July 25, 2026. Counted among Hyogo's four major fireworks festivals, it fires about 5,000 shells from 20:00 to 21:00. Underwater fireworks, star mines and set-piece (keshi) shells rise from the sea, so from the beach you can watch the reflections on the water along with the bursts. The festival program also includes the tub-boat race, games children can join, and food stalls with local flavors. The venue is a 5-minute walk north from Kasumi Station, or about 40 minutes by car from Tajima Airport IC via Routes 312 and 178. Free parking is provided for about 2,300 cars, but with 50,000 visitors expected, arriving early is the safe bet.
