19th Kamikawa Summer Festival: Enjoy fireworks to the fullest from a prime viewing spot
A total of 1,000 shells are launched over the Kamikawa Town Kamisaki Elementary School ground in Kamikawa Town, Hyogo Prefecture, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, 20:35–21:00, for the 19th Kamikawa Summer Festival. The launch site sits close to the viewing ground, so the bursts open almost overhead against the valley sky, with No. 4 shells and set pieces close enough to feel. Stage events run alongside the fireworks. Free parking for 1,000 cars opens 6 to 10 p.m.; by public transport, take the Awaga-bound bus from JR Teramae Station and get off at Shichosha-mae, right by the venue.
The 19th Kamikawa Summer Festival lights up the Kamisaki Elementary School ground on Saturday, August 1, 2026, 20:35–21:00, with 1,000 shells rising in quick succession. Because the launch site stands near the school ground, light and sound spread almost directly overhead — an immediacy the valley setting amplifies, with No. 4 shells and set-piece fireworks among the program. Stage events run as part of the festival as well. The venue is reached by taking the Awaga-bound bus from JR Teramae Station, about five minutes to the Shichosha-mae stop, which sits right beside the grounds; by car it is about five minutes from the Kanzaki-Minami IC on the Bantan Link Road. Free parking for 1,000 cars opens 18:00–22:00. No food stalls are planned, so bring any food and drinks you will need.
