Overview

The Kasai Saisai Matsuri, the city's summer fixture, runs on the special stage grounds of Kasai City Hall's car park on 2 August. Two stages carry dance performances and music live sets, while the haunted house and roughly 130 night stalls keep families busy; the night closes with about 1,000 shells across 20 minutes from 20:30. Free parking for some 1,000 cars is spread across the Kasai Health and Welfare Centre, ASTEIA Kasai, Aladdin Stadium and other sites, and the venue is about ten minutes by car from the Chugoku Expressway's Kasai IC. With the fireworks so short, pairing them with the stalls and stages makes an evening of it.
