Summary
The Kurayoshi Utsubuki Festival is a local festival held over two days every summer, with the Hiten Fireworks Display as its grand finale. Approx. 4000 shells are launched at Hiten Yume Square (riverbed around Kurayoshi Ohashi Bridge), beautifully closing the festival and coloring the pitch-black night sky. In addition to fireworks, a variety of events are held including stage performances and the 'Rakuichi Rakuza' market. The event goes on in light rain but is canceled in stormy weather.
