Summary
The fireworks display that concludes the Bingo Kokufu Festival begins with hand-held tube fireworks. The sight of brave men holding hand-held tube fireworks (gunpowder packed into bamboo tubes about 1 meter long) as sparks fly is breathtaking. These are rare fireworks in Hiroshima Prefecture, with towering flames of great intensity. After the hand-held tube fireworks, approx. 3000 shells of launched fireworks color the summer night sky. Both the venue for the Bingo Kokufu dedicated hand-held tube fireworks and the subsequent fireworks viewing area are at the Fuchu Gakuen North Grounds.
