One of the oldest fireworks festivals in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Approximately 30,000 visitors attend each year, making it a beloved local tradition. Held along the Asa River in Sanyo-Onoda City, 2000 shells light up the night sky. Family-friendly events such as children's sumo and children's mikoshi (portable shrine) are also held, bringing the venue to life. The Sencho shopping street is lined with many stalls, offering a variety of festival foods and drinks. Popular viewing spots include the riverside along the Asa River and around Kamo Bridge, and the convenient 10 min walk from Asa Station is another attraction.
