Summary

[*The 2025 fireworks festival has been canceled.] A nationally rare fireworks festival held on a 'mountain' — the vast karst plateau of Akiyoshidai in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. A 2-shaku-dama (approx. 60 cm) large shell, rare even in western Japan, is scheduled to be launched. Before the opening event on the day, the Akiyoshidai Market (bazaar) opens, and special admission to Akiyoshido Cave is available from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
