Overview
The 69th Niihama Noryo Fireworks Festival fills the Kokuryo River riverbed (north side of Hirakata Bridge) in Niihama City on July 31, 2026, launching 8,000 shells between 8:00 and 9:00 pm and drawing visitors from across and beyond Ehime. Starmine sequences anchor the program, and the riverbed setting puts launch sites within close range — the sound carries as much as the light. A local tradition lets residents sponsor commemorative fireworks: wedding, birth, school and housewarming congratulations, cheer messages and even confessions are read out over the venue. Free parking for 1,600 cars is on site, with JR Niihama Station 20 minutes on foot.
