Overview

Using both a quay and moored barges as launch points, the hour-long show sends roughly 10,000 shells over the harbor at Matsui wharf (Mitsuhama) — the biggest fireworks event in Ehime Prefecture. The 2026 program is built in four chapters around the theme 'Wakuwaku Shiyou-ya': an opening star mine in time with the music, then tempo and color shifts through the evening, closing on big underwater shells and a giant star mine. Reach the venue in 15 minutes on foot from Iyo Railway Mitsui Station or 30 minutes from JR Mitsuhama Station. Temporary parking is available but congested, so public transport is recommended, and crowds flow toward the stations when the show ends.
