Summary
A beloved summer tradition held annually on August 15 at Yawatahama Port in Yawatahama City, Ehime Prefecture. Approximately 3,500 shells of various sizes are launched from within the port, brilliantly illuminating the midsummer night and the waters of Yawatahama Port. The event draws around 60,000 visitors each year. The recommended viewing spot is the Minatto Green Space, where there are no tall structures nearby and the fireworks can be enjoyed from a wide area. In case of stormy weather, the event is postponed to the following day, the 16th (Sun).
