A fireworks display with over 400 years of history in Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture, featuring set-piece fireworks launched from the Kamo River riverbed. The event began in 1585 when Kobayakawa Takakage, under the orders of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, invaded Shikoku, and fireworks were launched to console the spirits of those who died in battle.
