Come on over to Ikata Town at the westernmost tip of Shikoku. The Kinaihaiya Ikata Festival is the largest festival in Ikata Town on the Sadamisaki Peninsula. The event features a 'Kinaihaiya Gourmet Market' where visitors can sample local specialties, taiko drum performances, character shows, and a working vehicle corner. The fireworks display marks the festival's finale. Approximately 3,000 powerful shells launched over Ikata Bay beautifully illuminate the night sky and the water's surface.
