A summer tradition held at Midori no Hiroba in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. Approx. 4000 shells are launched from four locations including the city's symbol Mt. Hizu and the riverbed, with the wide-ranging launch being a key attraction. The elevation differences between launch sites create a three-dimensional effect and the sound reverberating against the surrounding mountains adds to the intensity, with star mines and set-piece fireworks creating a variety of displays in the night sky. In case of stormy weather, postponed to August 13 (Thu).
