Organized by the city's tourism and geopark promotion office, this is a full-day festival that lets the sea do half the work. The afternoon parade of fishing boats circling the cape is a rare sight in itself; yosakoi teams then take over the venue before the 20:00–20:30 display, which packs roughly 4,000 shells into the sky above the water. Attendance is projected at about 3,500. Getting there takes commitment — the rail lines end well short of town, so buses run from Kaiyo Station (about 45 minutes), Nahari (50), or Aki (80), all alighting at Muroto Eigyosho for a 10-minute walk. Drivers face about 120 minutes from Nankoku IC and must use one of four designated free lots totaling 350 spaces; parking elsewhere is prohibited. Bad weather triggers a postponement — the organizer's announcements carry the revised date. Paid viewing seats exist for those who want a guaranteed position.
