Summary
Sukumo City's signature autumn event, 'Sukumo Citizens' Festival 2025,' will be held one week earlier than usual on October 4 (Sat) and 5 (Sun). On the first day, the 4th (Sat), the main festival begins at 10:30 AM with stage events including sweets fishing, Best Pairs, and a super-spicy hot dog eating contest—programs for all ages from children to adults. In the evening, comedian Kumada Masashi will perform a special live show. The climax of the night features a fireworks display with approx. 4000 shells illuminating the night sky, with a spectacular backdrop of Sukumo Bay. On the 5th (Sun), regionally flavored events such as a children's sumo tournament continue.
