Summary

A fireworks display held upstream of the Ashiya Bridge on the Onga River in Fukuoka. An event dating back to the Taisho era, it is known as one of the longest-running displays in the prefecture. Approx. 5000 shells are launched in rapid succession from barges floating on the Onga River, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The large shells and underwater fireworks are especially powerful and captivating. Numerous food stalls line the area around the venue.
