Summary

Fireworks launched on July 25 every year in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Held on this day along the Honmyo River riverbed in front of Isahaya Park, to pray for the souls of the victims of the Great Isahaya Flood and to renew vows of disaster prevention. Approximately 20,000 lanterns illuminate the roughly 1,800-meter stretch between Urayama Bridge and Isahaya Bridge. Together with approximately 2,000 shells of fireworks, they light up the darkness in gold.
