Summary
An annual winter tradition in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture. On February 14 (Sat), 21 (Sat), 22 (Sun), and 28 (Sat), 2026, from 9 PM, the 'Hanabouro Fireworks Feast' will be held, launching colorful fireworks into the night sky. Additionally, illuminations inspired by 'hanabouro' (the local name for rime ice) fantastically decorate the entire Unzen hot spring town. At Kyu-Hachiman Jigoku, 'Light Fairy Tale' (an illumination inspired by the picture book 'Kuroi Yama') will be held (daily from 5 PM to 10 PM).
