Summary
Held in Yamato Town, Kamimashiki County, Kumamoto Prefecture, this fireworks festival boasts over 400 years of history. After repeated fires destroyed the Jizo hall, it has been held to pray for fire protection. 'Hibuse Taiko' drums including small and large drums are dedicated, and the 'Hibuse Ondo So-odori' and 'Yoakashi' events keep the town lively throughout the night.
