[*The 2026 fireworks have been cancelled. Please check the official website for details on the Jizo Festival.] A fireworks festival held in Hikawa Town, Yatsushiro County, Kumamoto Prefecture. It is held on the second day of the Jizo Festival. Fireworks are launched from around 300m upstream of Hikawa Bridge, with approx. 300 shells including up to No. 3 size shells blooming in the night sky. On the day, decorative displays are exhibited in the shopping street and a decorative display stamp rally is also held. Food stalls are set up inside the venue.
