Summary

The fireworks display of the 'Shiranui Sea Fire Festival' held in Shiranui Town, Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture, in conjunction with the viewing of 'Shiranui,' a mysterious light that appears during the high tide on the first day of the eighth lunar month. A festival rich in history and romance that carries on the legend of the mysterious fire 'Shiranui,' which appears only for a limited time each year. In addition to the offshore fireworks, various events are held including a torchlight procession, stage events, and a prize drawing.
