Summary
Held as part of the 'Kikuchi White Dragon Festival' in Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture. In addition to stage events by local residents such as calligraphy, baton twirling, and dance, a total of four dragons — two dragons, a young dragon, and a child white dragon — are carried by many bearers in a powerful performance. The four majestic white dragons are also paraded from the shopping street to the Civic Square. At the climax, approx. 3000 shells (planned) of fireworks burst with elegance and strength, their rapid succession gleaming like jewels.
