44th Yabakei Lakeside Festival

Summary

Details for upcoming events will be updated as they are confirmed.] The Yabakei Lakeside Festival is held every August at the lakeside of Yabakei Dam in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture. Organized by local volunteers with the wish to create lasting summer memories for children, the festival marked its 43rd edition in 2025. Fireworks are launched at the end of the festival, vividly coloring the night sky and lake surface on a midsummer night.
