68th Sendaigawa Fireworks Display

Details for scheduled events will be updated as they are confirmed.] A fireworks display in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, held along the Sendai River, one of Kyushu's three major rivers. Begun in 1959, it has become a beloved summer tradition in the region. Approx. 10000 shells illuminate the night sky, drawing approx. 80000 spectators each year, making it one of the largest displays in Kyushu. Enjoy rapid-fire sequences, simultaneous launches of set-piece fireworks, and a collaboration of music and fireworks.
