Summary

A joint village festival and fireworks event at Ginoza Village Farm Park in northern Okinawa on 24–25 October 2026. Live music, folk performing arts, hero shows, Eisa drumming and hands-on booths fill the days, while about 1,000 fireworks in total go up over the two nights in roughly ten-minute displays from 19:50. Viewing is free.

Overview

The 34th Ginoza Village Festival and 11th Churajima Fireworks Display take place at Ginoza Village Farm Park on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026. The festival runs from 12:00 on the 24th and from 10:00 on the 25th until 20:00, with live music, folk performing arts and hero shows on stage plus Eisa drumming and hands-on booths. Fireworks go up both nights from 19:50 to 20:00 — about ten minutes each evening and roughly 1,000 shells across the two days, launched one after another into the night sky. Viewing is free with no paid seating. Access is basically by car, about one minute from the Ginoza interchange on the Okinawa Expressway, and 500 parking spaces are available free of charge. Gourmet food booths and stalls line the grounds.

Highlights

Two consecutive nights of fireworks closing the village festival — free viewing for an easy autumn evening in northern Okinawa.

Info for International Visitors

Best arrival time

Arriving 30–45 minutes before the fireworks start is enough to pick a spot. During the festival, parking-lot traffic builds up, so allow extra time when driving.

With kids

The festival lines up child-friendly programmes such as hero shows and hands-on booths. For the evening fireworks, keep children within sight and watch your footing in the dark.

Photography tips

Phones and cameras are welcome; be considerate with tripods in crowded areas. In the open park grounds, framing the fireworks together with the ground-level lights captures the festival mood.

Payment

Viewing is free. Food and snack booths generally take cash, so bring plenty of small bills and coins.
