Data Sources and Calculation Methodology
This page documents every data source used by FujiVis and its refresh frequency. Visibility forecasts are obtained from a third-party Japanese meteorological forecast service, combined with public weather data (Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0) and historical observation patterns, then recalculated and graded using our own methodology. All forecast values are archived daily in our public open dataset.
Third-party Japanese forecast service
Provides Mount Fuji visibility index (AM/PM), climbing grade (A/B/C), and altitude-layer meteorological forecasts. We recalculate and grade these values using our own methodology.
